Regular horses can only spawn in the plains and savannas biomes. When you find horses, you will need saddles. Once you have a saddle, mount horses by interacting with them. When you mount the horse, don’t hold a saddle or it won’t let you mount it. Your horse may run around and throw you off if it doesn’t trust you yet. If it does, keep mounting it until it gives you the heart particle effect. Once you see the hearts, while still mounted on the horse, open your inventory. You will not see you own inventory. Instead you will see an inventory that says “horse” at the the top. If you name the horse with a name tag, the name of the horse will be at the top of the inventory. You will also see a picture of your horse. The horse inventory should have 2 inventory slots. One for horse armor and one for a saddle. Place the saddle into the slot for the saddle. Horse aromor, like regular armor, can be used to protect the horse from damage. Horse armor cannot break. You can craft horse armor from all the same materials you would use to craft regular armor. You can also find horse armor in some loot chests. You can breed regular horses with apples, golden apples, and enchanted apples.
