Creepers are a hostile mob, meaning they will attack you regardless of whether you attack them or not. There a 2 types of creepers. The regular creeper and the supercharged creeper. The supercharged creeper has a blue glow around it and deals more damage. A supercharged creeper spawns when a normal creeper gets struck with lightning. If a superchargd creeper kills a skeleton or a zombie, it will drop the head of the mob.
When a creeper sees you, it will rush up to you and begin to explode. If you run away quickly enough, the creeper won’t blow up but will continue to follow you. Creepers are almost completely silent, making it easy for them to sneak up on you. Unlike skeletons and zombies, creepers don’t burn in sunlight. The best way to kill a creeper is from a distance with a bow and arrow, or to rush up to it with a sword and hit, then back away as fast as you can. Continue doing this until you kill the creeper. Creepers drop 0-2 pieces of gunpowder when killed, which can be used to craft fireworks, TNT, and other items.
