Spiders are neutral mobs that spawn at night or in dark places. There are 2 variants of the spider: the cave spider and the normal spider. Cave spiders can only be found in abandoned mineshafts. Spiders have the unique ability to climb walls. If you throw a potion of invisibility onto a spider, you will still be able to see it’s red eyes glowing. Spiders give you 2 damgage on normal difficulty. A spider will only attack you if it is dark. Unlike zombies and skeletons, spiders don’t burn in sunlight. Spiders drop string and spider eyes which can be used for brewing potions.
